  • VERA + Association

  • VERA+ (VMEbus and Extensions Russian Association) was formed in early 1992 having the aim to promote the VMEbus family of standards in the CIS internal market. Today over 50 companies, involved in either development, production or use of VMEbus/VXIbus modules as well as in Open Technologies in computer automation joined our organisation. A strong relationship and collaboration exists between VERA+ and VITA, the VFEA International Trade Association, the international trade association of VMEbus and Futurebus+ manufacturers and users, with offices in the USA, Europe and Japan. VITA considers VERA+ as an extension of its own organisation in the geographic area of the CIS. Since 1995 VERA+ is actively involved in the promotion of open industrial networks (Fieldbusses).

  • TTA-Group

TTA-Group's mission is to provide a platform for exchanging cross-industry experience about the deployment of a data communication architecture for safety-critical systems.
TTA-Group promotes cross-industry technologies for a time-triggered solution and concentrates on the aerospace, special vehicles, railway, and industrial control industry, where aerospace requirements for safety-critical applications have to be fulfilled at low cost.
TTA-Group has no intention to standardize technologies and solutions for the automotive industry. This is done in other consortia such as FlexRay and AUTOSAR. However, automotive members of TTA-Group benefit from the synergy of cross-industry experience and know-how in technology-oriented and application-specific working groups.
TTA-Group gives guidance and recommendations to other groups and consortia in terms of safety issues from a cross-industry point of view.

  • CAN in Automation (CiA)

  • CAN in Automation (CiA) is the international users’ and manufacturers’ organization that develops and supports CAN-based higher-layer protocols. All activities are based on CiA members’ interest, participation and initiative. CiA representatives actively support international standardization of CAN protocols and represent the members’ interest in national and international standardization committees, such as ISO and IEC. CiA members initiate and develop specifications that are then published as CiA standards. These specifications cover physical layer definitions as well as application layer and device profile descriptions. CiA representatives speak at international conferences and fairs about CAN and invite other organizations to jointly develop profiles. CiA’s web site represents an important medium to get information about CAN technology as well as the activities of the organization. The organization provides a free-of-charge inquiry service for device developers, system designers, and end-users.
